Indian Cooking Instruction and Dinner! Location TBA
We are excited about our next Slow Book meeting because we have been offered a special treat to experience some instruction in authentic Indian cooking at the home of one of our members. We will enjoy cooking and eating together and the evening will include the following:
- overview of a typical Indian spice box (masala dabba) and advice on where to buy ingredients
- explanation of how to fry up a typical spice base known as “fudneeh” or “tadka” used in the preparation and finishing of many Indian dishes
- several veggie “bhajis” (dry curries) such as potato, green bean, cauliflower, eggplant, etc
- and two desserts!
- And much more!
More details coming soon. Space will be limited, so if you definitely want to attend send an email to the address below!
